Gramicci: Bridging Outdoor Performance and Streetwear Style

Gramicci: Bridging Outdoor Performance and Streetwear Style

Founded in 1982 by American climber Mike Graham, Gramicci has established itself as a leading brand in functional and stylish outdoor apparel. The brand introduced innovations like the gusseted crotch for better freedom of movement and the integrated nylon belt for easy adjustments, making it a favorite among climbers, skaters, and surfers.

In an interview with Hypebeast, creative director Stephan Wendler emphasized the importance of staying true to Gramicci’s roots:
"It’s essential to respect our origins while evolving to meet the modern demands of both outdoor enthusiasts and urban communities."

Expanding Through Collaborations

Recently, Gramicci has partnered with various brands to diversify its offerings:

  • In January 2025, the brand teamed up with thisisneverthat, a Korean streetwear label, for a collection blending vintage aesthetics with Gramicci's technical expertise.

  • In March 2025, Gramicci unveiled its third collaboration with Japanese brand and wander, resulting in a line of technical garments designed for both urban and outdoor adventures.

Spring/Summer 2025: A Nod to the Archives

For Spring/Summer 2025, Gramicci introduced a collection inspired by its own archives, reworking classic pieces with new silhouettes, materials, and functionalities. This lineup features eco-conscious cotton twill pants and packable shorts made from recycled nylon, designed for versatility between city life and outdoor activities.

With a continued focus on innovation and collaboration, Gramicci solidifies its position as a brand that honors its heritage while staying at the forefront of outdoor and streetwear fashion.
